Pics of Center Consoles

Hey all, I'm looking for pictures of center consoles with shifters. I'd like to put in a floor shift and use something from a later model car and adapt it to the dash and seats. Thanks in advance.

Nice to see you start working on the Burb again. Some new pictures would be great.

Take a look at the latest Custom Classic Trucks magazine. It has a sweet 68 in there that has a killer console with a consloe interacted with it from a late model car.

Maybe, I could; THENNNNNNNNN maybe I couldn't---I saw the mag on the sales stand and was moving on. I will have to go back and see if it is still there.

Re: Pics of Center Consoles

Greg,

Here is a console that Jeff (98L150) and myself built, it wasn't for a truck though but turned out nice. Other than the paint work it really isn't too bad....just a little time and patience....

Here's mine so far.

It's obviously got a little ways to go, but it's not far from being done.

Re: Pics of Center Consoles

how did you guys fasten it down? That has always stumped me. Because you don't want to see a bunch of bolts everywhere. Nice looking center consoles!!!!!

Re: Pics of Center Consoles

what we usually do is put mount hard ware under the a/c, radio, gauges etc. or put the mpounting points on the outside between the seats and console were you do not see them

Re: Pics of Center Consoles

This was at a car show in Monterey this last fall. It's in a 4x4. That's the transfer case shifter. Tranny shifter is on the column.

Re: Pics of Center Consoles

I know this is an old thread.

But I'm about to be the owner of a nice set up (cool story, but probably too long for this post...I'm getting a bucks-up Pioneer set-up back from a
friend I sold an FJ Cruiser to...etc., etc.).

I run buckets, and I'd like to make a center console out of wood, which I'll cover. But I'd like to look at some of your center consoles,
wood base or fiberglass or sheet metal... Whatever. Just collecting some ideas.

Thanks.

Here's what I'm running now:
