WTB: 396/402 BB oil dipstick and tube
I discovered my oil dipstick and tube are missing off this 402 I am trying to re-assemble. Please PM if you can help because these posts always get buried within hours and I will probably never find my post again to check and see any replies to it aside from PM's - Thanks
Also Need : I am missing a lot of bolts used to hold the accessory A/C, PS and Alternator brackets all on, and missing the stud bolt off the front pass side intake for that A/C bracket, and missing the BB starter bolts and the 396/402 69-70 specific kickdown switch that bolts somewhere on the intake - need the wiring for this switch too. I think this is most of what is missing....Can you help? |

Hi, might be able to help with some of that stuff, just finishing parting a 69/70 big block truck.
Is this the switch & bracket your looking for? The wiring is there, its in kind of rough shape $$50 I think we have the dipstick too & maybe some of the bolts

Re: WTB: 396/402 BB oil dipstick and tube
Steve, here's some pics of the switch you looked at over here last week. It looks a little different from the one Tom is showing. This one is from a 1969 GMC 3/4 ton with 396. The '69 Chevy swb BB I built a few years ago had the same switch as did the '70 9 ft. step side fire truck I parted. Different assembly plants may have used different ones, but this is the only style I've see in this area.
