81-87 Grille trim

Wandering through the wrecking yard today I came across this trim I have never seen before. Anyone know what or where this is and where I can get me some?

Thanks

That is quite unlike what is on my '83. That might be 88+, even 90-91.

I'm thinking 88-91 used a plastic grille and the outer trim is part of the grille.
This is stainless steel and smooth with no detail. And the truck it's on is around an 81-83
I never seen it before.

I didn't see any trim on page 40. Only patch panels and fenders

Re: 81-87 Grille trim

They are exactly the same as my '81 Sierra Classic. Corner are square on the top and rounded on the bottom.

Re: 81-87 Grille trim

Let me explain with a little more detail, this trim is smooth and rounded over. Does not have the ridge detail as the "normal" 81-87 trim this trim is wide and low profile. . Look closely at the photos

Yes - I believe that is for 88-91.

The wheel opening trim is smoothed over as well (which I had never noticed before but was pointed out to me on this board).

If you wanted some like it why didn't you grab it off the truck in the yard while you were there?

Re: 81-87 Grille trim

I may go back and see if I can salvage it. It's really hammered in a few spots.
Isn't the 88-91 trim plastic and part of the grille ( as one piece?)

It must be. My 81 has the same trim. I thought all years had the same. Guess not.

Correct. That is the 81-82 trim. 83-88 had the trim with the grove/ridge, the more common one.
