Engine dont sound right ?

Im havin trouble figuring out if theres somthin wrong with my truck i have straight headers the exit right at the trans pan rear and when i start the truck and i give it gas it sounds alot like a john deere ...could it be the headers or somthing else ...im scared to run it anymore then i have to

if you dont have mufflers.I would imagine what you are hearing is the left over of inefficiencies of you combustion.My Nova does this even with an x pipe no mufflers.Stock 454

i know without having the rest of the exhaust it will sound quite different .if you had a video so we could here it someone might be able to tell you more.
