Good for you. The only people that care are people on message boards. In the real world rust free sheet metal and a good looking truck are all that matters.

I agree, good clean sheet metal is priceless. Have fun with your new truck.

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

If that isn't a Jerry Brown truck I'll eat my hat. His stuff goes for the highest prices I've seen. I said they "GO",and looking at the pictures you can see why. What would you pay for a better than new truck? That's what you get

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

That is a gorgeous truck !!! I'm restoring a 72 SWb 4x4 now and I can only hope it comes out as nice as yours !

Here in NH you can peice together a truck, cab from one, frame from another as long as none of the numbers turn up from a stolen truck. Once you have it together and inspector from the state police looks the truck over, records any numbers found and they go in a file on your truck. They then issue you a new vin number and tag, and all is legal. This maybe the case with your truck.
Does it have a normal vin tag, or is it different ?

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

My avatar is staying with the white truck (my other "dream truck" that needs some attention)

I won't have more pics until I get him home!

Rene-I'll def be at the brother show & thinking of naming the truck "controversy" cuz I know everyones going to be like "hey thats the black truck with the burb Vin"

The only problem I have now is I owe my wife big time & the dealer I got the truck from had her "dream car" (I took a pic with my youngest)!

Good grief! They make an incredible pair! Your white truck is pretty much my dream truck. I like how it sits now.

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

The dealer just emailed a copy of the Virginia title. It states: chevrolet, light duty vehicle, pickup, 1972, 3560lbs, 6000 (gross) & same Vin#. The date of the title is 6/13/96.

Does anyone know how to trace the title (ie ownership to 72) & where are the frame #'s located?
