I have a 12-bolt coil spring rear with 3:73 (type 3 carrier, right?) and I want to replace my bearings. I'm guessing these are the right bearings. Anyone know for sure? They don't actually say for 12-bolt, but they only have 1 type for coil spring so I'm guessing it's right?

GM 12 bolts (HO33 and HO35)
7451809 (Timken 6408) or 9440097 are the GM part numbers and there are a number of crosses.
But the two Centric bearings rock auto shows (of three choices) for a 69 C10 are not on the list.

So I guess it boils down to a 90 day warranty or a 12 month warranty bearing. On semi-floating axles bearings are a bad place to cut corners.

Finally when you are asking about an application it really helps to tell us what you have specifically.

The one you showed me doesn't show up as an option for the truck, it gives me this SKF part: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...924&cc=1029800

I checked under 1969, 1968, 305, 350, and 396, and they all have the same thing. I did notice that the one you pointed out is .8" wide vs. the one they're saying which is 1.3". The one you pointed out is also $11 cheaper. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on it. So which is it? Kinda weird this isn't clearer on their site.

What I have is a '69 3:73 posi 12 bolt, 6lug axles. Beyond that, dunno, this truck was kinda pieced together by the PO and don't know if it's stock... but I'd bet it is by the looks of it. My SPID is totally illegible now, so couldn't tell you there either. Plus it's covered in years of grime, rust, and debris, so until I get the wire wheel to it this weekend I won't be able to see any serial #s. I had to dig out the axle tag from a bunch of dirt it was covered in!

Cannot answer your question, but I do think the last one they listed, R1559, is a "repair" bearing--wider to fit over an undamaged portion of an otherwise galled bearing surface on an axle.

They may very well be. Don't have a GM to vendor catalog at hand to verify but the Tinken 6408 is an interchange if not OEM supplier.
Either way you go Timken or the wider SKF will be a good choice.

Yep did a little research and the ones you pointed out work out great. Grabbed them off the site a little while ago. Now gotta find a good slide hammer.
