1972 C10 Fender Patching

Hey guys, I have a 1972 C10 that has some rust damage along the bottom. The front passenger fender had to be replaced, but the driver's side is in decent shape. The front bottom needs to be replaced though, I think it's called the cup maybe? It's rusted away. I've looked and looked and can't find that part anywhere. Some places sell the passenger side, but I can't find anyone that sells the driver side. Also haven't had any luck with local junkyards. Any advice on where I might look?

From what I understand, nobody makes one for the driver side. Doesn't make a lot of sense to make one side and not the other.

I know, it's like the only part like that I can't find. Some places sell the front half so I might end up doing something like that.

are you really trying to stay all original metal? If not you will be much better off just replacing with new fender. Save you a butt load of prep time and labor to fix.

I guess the main thing is that most of the fender is good, just that part is gone, so I think it'd be kind of a waste. I don't mind the work and I'd like to keep as much original as I can, but I'll replace it all if that's my best/only option.
