Got my motor in, pics and questions

I finally got my trans back so decided to put it together and get it out of my hair and way and put it where it belongs. Anyone have any pics of the kickdown linkage at the transmission. I also need a 1 piece shortbed driveshaft measurement , tube only for a powerglide, if anyone has one, thanks.

Re: Got my motor in, pics and questions

That looks OUTSTANDING!!

Love the colors and attention to detail. I see a lot of very hard-to-find parts in that picture. All of that searching and restoring of the small stuff has definitely paid off.

Another thing I like about the time when everything starts going back together:
You start getting your floor space back and all of the boxes with the new parts start to disappear because stuff is getting bolted on. Plus, at the end of the day, you can see real progress.

Keep posting pictures when you can. I love what I'm seeing!

LT1Burb

That is so awesome and inspiring for me. I'm just a couple months behind you at this point. Keep the pictures coming on your build site.
I just bought one true nos optional 1" Firestone 8.15 pie crust edge tire just like yours for my in bed side spare tire display. I plan to drive mine somewhat frequently on the interstate for some 100 mile trips so I am going modern radial whitewalls on the ground with original hubcaps. But yours looks so vintage cool that way.

I also just sent you 4 pictures via droid email of my 66 powerglide with linkages and kick down still attached after pulling it complete from the frame with body off. I think you can make out what you need and only piece not shown is the shift column to swing arm piece but that is straight forward piece. If they did not go through to the address I had for you a long time ago please just let me know. Mark

Re: Got my motor in, pics and questions

Here are a couple pics of the kickdown linkage for a powerglide. It bolts to the bellhousing on the drivers side, and one arm goes to the throttle linkage, and the other to the kickdown lever on the transmission.

Re: Got my motor in, pics and questions

I got it figured out to the carb but for some reason the rod to the powerglide is not long enough, I know I bagged and tagged it to, I am confused.

LT1 I have one of these if you want it. You did bail me out on the heater controls after all. Let me know when you will be in SO Oregon and I can meet up with you.
