Time To Replace Front Hubs...Suggestions?

I have a 71 K/5, Front axle is a Dana 44...6 lug wheels at the moment. Any thoughts/suggestions regarding a set of external locking hubs for replacement? Who makes the best ones at the moment for my application? I'd prefer chrome, black or blue dial. Any help would be appreciated.

I went with superwinch hubs after reading some post on here about them on dana60's(different part number). Only used them 2 or 3 times. Worked great each time.

They are chrome with black lettering I think.

I have used the warn premium with the gold dial, and they were very nice and sturdy.

I would stay away from the regular Warn hubs with the black dial. The dial is plastic and I've had to replace them before. I think the Warn premium hubs with the gold colored dial have a lifetime warranty and they're only about $20 more.

ok, my superwinch's are all metal chrome, with painted blue letters and insets. Look fairly original.

Re: Time To Replace Front Hubs...Suggestions?

My '72 Blazer has a pair of Selectro hubs, which are now made by Mile Marker. I really like these as they have the external grip with no dial to turn, and look good. No longer made for the Dana 44s, but used ones come up for sale occasionally.

Warn premiums. I have several pairs of those Selectro hubs for jeeps. Love the look on a 40's-50's or even 60's jeep. But my '79 CJ-5 has Warn Premiums.
