Advice
Need some input. i have a 67 c10 250 CI. i need to rebuild the engine. would it be wiser to have a machine shop do it or order a re man engine from a parts store IE ( NAPA autozone ect.) both are about the same price.
and if anyone is in the san diego area that can recomend a better idea or shop. thanks |

Just my two cents' worth: You'd be better off spending the money on a crate engine, unless you're trying to keep the truck 100% original. You get all NEW parts and a warranty. The last one I looked at had a 36 month 100,000 mile warranty.

I don't think so. I could be wrong. The best deal I have seen and what I will be probably getting is the 300hp 350ci brand new with aluminum intake for $1899.

yeah i think the crate motor would be the way to go. you can get a pretty good warranty with those crate motors

not trying to keep it stock but keep it cheep so i can get her back on the road. and not have to ride my harley in the rain. lol |
