Ok to run wheel adapters?
So i got a killer deal on some incubus 18" wheels. I bought them to resell because they are 6x5 for blazers. Then curiousity got me to see about adapters. Roadkill enterprizes makes a set of adapters that are $250 for all four. They are billet aluminum 6061-t6. I was wanting to find out who has used spacer adapters before and is there a hp/tq limit? Im going to have a built small block at 400hp.

Re: Ok to run wheel adapters?
I have them on my 69, mine are 1" wide and I used to to get my offset right where I wanted it.
I dont have anywhere close to 400hp but it runs out real good and will lite the tires up and have not had any problems yet. I also have ran them on my 4 wheeler for years and never had one come loose or break. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Ok to run wheel adapters?
i think you'll be ok. i ran them on my toyota. i didnt have a lot of HP but i did really low gears and lockers front and back. i abused the crap out of that thing and never had any issues. maybe stay away from the real cheap ones unless you know they are good quality

Re: Ok to run wheel adapters?
The wheels are 18x8.5. From what i measured it has a 5.75 backspacing +25 offset. What size spacer should i run to avoid rubbing and not stick out of the fender well. They make 1.3" 1.8" 2"

Re: Ok to run wheel adapters?
You can get cast aluminum or billet. Trust me when I say STAY AWAY FROM THE CAST ONES! I used a couple on my caprice wagon years ago and there was enough flex in them they ended up taking out the hub bearing and race. Never again.
