Easy way to tell,

does it bolt down from the top through the bedside lip into captured nuts (Single Wall)
or bolt from the bottom into the top Nutserts embedded in the top (Double Wall)..

Easiest way is the two dome lights, She's a single!

Re: Double wall or single.. 1972 BLAZER

It is single. As said above bolts from top of bed rail down, there is a lip with chrome trim the bolt runs through, double will have no lip, and mount from bottom of bed rail up. Dome lights are only in single wall tops, and the inside roof line is different. They are lighter, and less susceptible to the nasty waves on the outside roof top.

Looks like a nice blazer its on, going to buy the whole thing or just the top? I think the ochre and saddle combination is pretty neat.

Re: Double wall or single.. 1972 BLAZER

Thanks guys with help on roof.

Going to go check it out tomorrow. From my conversation with owner sounds like a nice blazer... has a rebuilt 350 in it and a rebuilt Th350 but those aren't original. Anything else I should be looking more closely, trouble areas?

heres a another pic of blazer

In addition to the typical areas (floors at the corners, rockers and door bottoms) check the torsion boxes for rust. They're important for structural rigidity. It looks like a pretty nice Blazer, though.

x2 on this! They sell just about all the sheet metal to replace any rust area, But they do NOT sell anything to replace the windshield frame. Pay close attention to this area. Do a search on here for windshield frames to get a picture and a better idea of what is an ok frame and what can bee a really bad frame. Good luck.

Looks good, I wouldnt rule it out even if it has a soft spot in the windshield frame.
