My truck is finally road worthy

After a full tune up, new brakes, and a few other things my 1960 GMC is now back on the road....pretty much been sitting since 1997. I still have a few things I want to fix, but they don't stop me from driving the truck.

Started off looking like this:

Now it looks like this:

So far only modifications have been wheels/tires, and converting from column shift to floor shift. I need to work on the exhaust and the wiring, and I have a friend who is going to hook me up with a rear bumper. my only other plans for now are an oil change, getting end links for the rear sway bar, and getting a hitch on it so I can tow my airstream.

Thanks!!! Between the GMC and the other vehicles I have to work on, I'll be busy till retirement. One project I am looking forward too is putting my 63 chevy 4x4 together over the summer. My oldest daughter wants that truck for her first vehicle and part of earning it is helping me work on it. She helped me with the front brakes of my GMC and that was big time fun for both of us.

Post up a thread for us when you do your rear sway bar, please.

I'd be interested to see how that goes together.

Will do, all the hard work has been done already, it was on the truck when I bought it. I need end links to attach the bar to the axle....I will try to take as many pics as possible when the time comes.
