6 cylinder to 350 /700r4 will drive shaft fit?

my truck had a six with 3 speed manual trans, moving the 350 forward to the factory spot, with 700r4 trans...will my driveshaft fit?

I read somewhere it will work....

Yes, as long as you use the small block engine stands in the front holes.

well my driveshaft did fit but, was 1.25 inches to short, not sure why.... oh well whats another 200.00.....

You used a small block engine, 700r4, and the front set of holes with small block stands ? The stands are bolted down with the factory holes and all three bolts each ?

I've done this exact swap an the driveshaft worked as is.

Aren't there a couple of different factory three-speed transmissions? I know mine has a non-syncronized 1st gear and I thought I read where it was shorter than the other available three-speeds? (I don't have the numbers handy at the moment......hopefully someone else might?)
