EGR Fun (Code 32)
Trying to diagnose an EGR issue. Typical code 32: SES light @ constant throttle on hwy, pinging @ light throttle, etc.
Ran the standard EGR valve tests: EGR valve takes and holds 15" of vacuum with no appreciable signs of loss. Engine stumbles when EGR is manually engaged at idle. Vacuum source @ TB shows 20" of vacuum @ 2500-3000 RPM. Vacuum lines are all intact and connected correctly. Could the issue be at the EGR solenoid? Any way to test this? Am I missing something? |

Re: EGR Fun (Code 32)
I am going through the same issues with my 'Burb. I am going to pull the intake and clean all the passages and also replace my solenoid. I have very little stumble, but does not register vac on the EGR side of the solenoid.

Re: EGR Fun (Code 32)
Did you check the vacuum at the EGR side of the solenoid?

Re: EGR Fun (Code 32)
Did you find your problem? I am having issues and i just checked the vacuum on the solenoid valve. It will not hold vacuum and it sounds like a small whoopi cushion. If I understand the chart, this part is bad.
I hate to spend another 50$ for the solenoid if I am misunderstanding the chart. Chris |
