Seal material around evaporator tubes???
Replacing my evaporator, what do you guys normally use to seal up the casing where the evap tubes exit the case?

Having the same issue with mine, was considering using rtv if I can't locate the correct product.

I used some cork insulation tape I got from the hardware store.The company name is diversitech.Its used for plumbing ,and looks oem.

Found the solution at advance auto parts. It's a roll of thin sticky tar type stuff. Made by factory air I believe and worked amazing. I will snap some pictures and get you the part number. It was super easy to use and it sealed up perfectly.

I found nearly the exact stuff. It is electrical duct seal made by Ideal industries. It's cheap and works just like the oem stuff. About $5 for enough for several projects. Just google " ideal industries duct seal"

I used the same stuff as bilfman. I got it at the local lumber yard. It comes in a square block and it is grey. This works great if you don't find the other stuff.
