HELP! Wipers wont go down.
First off the 82 DOES'NT have the wiper delay module. It's just has the 2 speed wiper switch.
The wipers work fine on both speeds, but when I shut them off they stop where ever they're at when I hit the switch, whether it be top, middle or bottom. Any help to get them to go back to home resting position once I shut them off would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: HELP! Wipers wont go down.
My old truck wouldn't dock. Fiddle farted around with the wiper motor. Never did get them to dock. Timing the swipe was cheaper than a new wiper motor.
I did try all the cheap fixes, new motor was the next one.

Re: HELP! Wipers wont go down.
Had the problem on my 77 chev truck and finally had to replace the wiper motor
Here's a video showing how to test low/high and park for testing the wiper motor. I also used this for some testing on my Z28. http://www.nastyz28.com/2gcog/wipers.pdf

Re: HELP! Wipers wont go down.
Thanks a lot fellas, I believe I will take it apart this weekend and piddle with it. If all else fails just have to spend a little extra cash and buy a new motor.
