shifter/driveshaft question

1. I got my np205 installed. But when I went for a test drive, I noticed my shifter was hitting the trans hump. My shifter is from a 73-75. Am I suspecting that I didnt research enough and that 67-72 vs 73-75 are shaped/bent differently?

2. If I twin stick this, can I do that w/o changing the shift rods?

3. On the front driveshaft. What is the name of that double joint up at the top? Mine is ratting and needs rebuilt/replaced.

Re: shifter/driveshaft question

2: You need to pull the shift rods to modify them.

3: Double cardan joint.
