fuel tank...opinions

getting ready to buy my aluminum fuel tank from boyds welding, great guy to talk to...

Just need to know from you guys any thoughts or problems you may have run into on this swap

Hope our sending unit is 90 ohms. Fill will be in the bed, and it will be set up for EFI. -6 feed and return lines

Best capacity seems to be 19 gallons, with standard fuel tank. 4WD, sooo, i may be able to add some capacity to the depth, dunno. Thats where you guys come in

Ill start to read through the builds and see if can get any help there

I'm interested too. Tired of hearing my Holley Red grinding away back there... It would be worse if it wasn't for my exhaust leak. lol

Re: fuel tank...opinions

I have a 91 model 31 gal tank, with a stock replacement TBI pump. I had to remove and make my own rear cross member. Also hangs a tad low. But if your not doing any hard core wheeling, it wont matter.

Thanks for the info. Dale...i dont want to move the crossmember if i dont have to, but well see....wheeling? Yeah, i could see that in the future might as well build a 2wd if you dont take it off the pavement

Re: fuel tank...opinions

My trucks already butchured and the member was bent. So I didnt mind removing it. Ive done some wheeling and it cleared with my setup.

Re: fuel tank...opinions

Mine came in right at 20 gallons from Fuelcellguy. Fully baffled EFI tank with intank pump. Mark was great to work with. If I had to do it over again from a fitment perspective, I'd sacrifice a little ground clearance for a top fill as opposed to a side fill.

I can't offer any practical feedback as I haven't turned the engine over yet.

Re: fuel tank...opinions

I also ordered a custom tank from Mark (FuelCellGuy) and I'm of no help since I haven't mounted it yet. My tank is 23 gal I believe and is baffled. It also came with the in-tank pump.
