? bout dually's
I have a 67 133'' wheel base 1 ton. My ? is, on the rearends are they all the same width or did they have multiple widths. I ask because when i look down the side of mine seems like the rear wheels don't stick out in the rear, and didn't think that was normal. Thanks oldno7

Re: ? bout dually's
Cab and chassis axles were the narrowest of the axles. Pick up dually rears (73 and newer) were wider and some van rears were a bit wider than the pick ups. Also bed width can give you an illusion of narrowness too.

Right, the Rear Axels on those trucks were pretty narrow, especially when compared to the newer 1-Ton pick-ups, as mentioned above. I wouldn't mind if they were a little wider but, the Rear Axels on the newer ones, in my opinion, are too wide.

Re: ? bout dually's
On cab & chassis trucks almost all bodies ride above the wheels,so they made them to not stick out. Then came dual wheel pickups and the rears got wider for those as well as cab & chassis. Larger trucks have a more balanced track, like the early 1 tons
