Where did you get the black ABS plastic sheet from?

Re: Custom gauge cluster build thread.
I am just about done with it and need to update some pics. There is a local plastics place in my town that does acrylic throphies and basic plastic type stuff. They sell it by the piece or 4'x8' sheet. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Re: Custom gauge cluster build thread.
Well.....I got the switches in so it is basically done. The switches look a little low in the pic because of the angle than they really are. I will post another pic when it is installed because I think the stainless button head screws add a little. Bottom line is I love it and can't believe how cheap is was to build.

Re: Custom gauge cluster build thread.
I love the design and ingenuity! It gives me an idea for a more stock appearance by using the plastic you used but cutting the center from an original as to incorporate the more common gauge sizes. Beautiful design!

Re: Custom gauge cluster build thread.
Thanks for the complement but NO.....this will remain my "one off". ;o)
This took more work than I could ask for. The only way to make any money is to mass produce the item. I just wanted something different. Thanks again. |

yes, I can relate to that, labor of love, as they say, but if you have a machine shop around with a press punch, punching the holes is nothing,
wherer did you find the black plastic board, might try to find some down here, again, good work, cant wait to see the motoe installed, keep us tuned in. |

Re: Custom gauge cluster build thread.
Awesome idea. I never would have thought of something like this. It looks good!
