Door Lock issues. Help!
I have a 71 C10 that I'm changing the door locks on since the truck came with no keys. I bought a kit and I installed it today. The key will turn completely, locking & unlocking the doors properly, only when the door is open. Once I close the door, the lock cylinder will only turn a 1/4 of the way needed to completely lock & unlock the door.
What can I do to solve this problem? Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Door Lock issues. Help!
Lean on the door and push it in while turning. The star wheel is worn out. If that doesn't help it then you'll need to replace the complete latch assembly.

Re: Door Lock issues. Help!
Yep. That worked. I guess I'll just hug my truck every time I lock the doors...
Thanks for the info!!! Posted via Mobile Device |
