Roof skin
Anyone know of a company making these for 73-87?? I've heard guys talk about them but have searched for hours with no luck

Because of the double layer construction the roof panel is hard to change by itself.
But it is relatively easy to cut the roof at the pillars and put a good used one on. And there are still lots of trucks with good roof panels...expect to pay 100.00 or less Usually the reason to change out a roof is to get rid of a sunroof....sometimes a coastal unit will have rust |

That's looking like my only option. Did you tack in braces before you cut it or is it rigid enough without them.

No braces were required...even the spot welds were in exactly the same place....we checked to find a cab that was built at the same plant(Oshawa) and at a similar time.
We split the back at the factory seam....it turned out like new....and being a Scottsdale we do not even have a headliner to hide anything. |
