ac box sealer caulk?

just got my ac box mounted with all new internals. I was curious what you guys use to seal up the pipes etc? Prefer something that's looks good and seals it well. NO homemade window seal stuff etc. I attached pic of box I took today. Thanks!

3M makes actual AC box caulk. It's like a "worm" of it. Not sure of the part# though.

3m Strip-Calk pn -08578. Box comes in 20 yards of one foot lengths. Works great too

What did you use/do to clean up the box and make it look that good?

I am guessing elbow grease and paint. I have always cleaned up the ones i work on with castrol super clean and a scrub brush, some i have painted, some were nice enough to leave as is.

As for the original question, the 3m sealer is the way to go, although i used the "chewing gum" that I had left over from when I put a roof on my barn. It is a light gray color. After i used all of it up, i bought the 3m for another truck.

Re: ac box sealer caulk?

Wideside is correct. I broke it all down and removed old seals. Ordered all new parts except the box. Then I just scrubbed the box down 2-3 times last week before I took it to my body man. He had some other parts that needed black too so he hit it at same time.

I think this is what you are looking for from Classic Industries. Not sure how it compares to those mentioned above.
