Advise, with or without
Ok, i was rolling my 65 on black walls w/ black rims and dog dishes.a few weeks ago i had an epic swapmeet search at the cherry auction infresno.found an old kern auto car and white freightliner lic plate frame for $2, a bent and dinged chrome grill for $10, and the search to end all searches to find 4 matching 15in beautyrings.oh, and a pass side door latch for $5.so i put the rings on and i dont know if i like them.i am not sure if the pain to find them warrents keeping them on.tell me what you think, and if someone can photoshop some white walls so i can decide whether to get the next set of tires i have shaved and installed next friday.let the ideas fly guys.thanks , Jimmy

Re: Advise, with or without
I like them. White walls would add a nice look also. I just cant help myself, I would spray the rims red to go along with the rings and whites. I guess I am a sucker for that look.

Re: Advise, with or without
IMO the best look would be to remove the trim rings and install thin white wall tires. Would look great.

Re: Advise, with or without
It really comes down to the style you like best. I happen to like it the way it sits with the black rims and tires.

Re: Advise, with or without
Your wheel/tire combination gives you a lot of options. I like both pictures you posted (with rings/without rings). I'm of the mindset where I like the wheels to be a huge part of the "look". The cool thing about your steel wheels is that it gives you endless options of colors you can spray them.
To me, whitewalls aren't a one-size-fits-all deal. On your deal, if you decide to go with whitewalls, I would keep them thin. But, like Markeb01 said, it really all comes down to the style you like. Don't be afraid to experiment, and with steel wheels and caps, you can come up with a lot of new looks for the price of a spray can.

Re: Advise, with or without
thanks for the links, it helps.i almost settled on white walls until i saw a black walled truck in the back ground.my whole goal on my truck is a lowered old farm truck.i think the black walls with black rims fits that theme.the new set of tires are 235 75 15s infront and 265 75 15s in rear.Jimmy
