Antenna Delete Cowl

I saw a cowl without an antenna hole in the junkyard last week. Is this rare enough to add to my parts stash?

Probably not rare as you may thing (I have one) but get it anyway if it's reasonably priced. There are some that would be willing to buy it rather than weld theirs closed.

Re: Antenna Delete Cowl

At this point I'd say most of the non-radio trucks out there have had their's punched for an antenna somewhere along the line and maybe close to the original location. If it is in nice shape I would grab it. If you don't want it my address is... joking that would be an expensive ship.

Yeah, I'm thinking it would be kinda cool hanging on the garage wall. Their prices are generally very reasonable.

I save them. You see people jumping to buy radio delete plates, well here's the other (bigger) part. As said, many have had antennas added.

Re: Antenna Delete Cowl

My 68 GMC 1500 was a ordered as a stripper, no nothing except WSW tires? Not even a inside rear view mirror. It was given to first owner when he retired as a present for 40 years on the job.....! It now has a 292 in place of stock 250, People comment on the lack of antenna all the time !.....

Re: Antenna Delete Cowl

Thought I'd give a pic of mine. With no antenna never had a radio. I like the smooth look of it.

Re: Antenna Delete Cowl

I got it this morning for $10. It was on a 69 C-30 flatbed. The only things on the SPID were the color and heavy rear springs. Thanks to all for your input!

Here are a couple pictures.

Re: Antenna Delete Cowl

I got mine off of a 68 from a junkyard for like $20. My original one was a radio delete as well, but someone punched a big, horribly done, causing a dent hole in my original one.
