What vehicle is a great candidate for a donor

I recently have a 1962 chevy c20. And im lookin for a good donor i can use as many parts as i can for my truck. Im lookin for a 350 engine, auto tranny, disc brakes and other misc. parts. I heard that novas were a good candidate.
Any info would help thanks.

71-87 eight lug C-20 pickup or suburban, IMO. Nova has small car brakes and 5 lugs, generally weaker, also. Later C-20 will have the big disk brakes and the heavy springs and beefy components you want. Also will generally have a 350, or 454 BBC. Cheap to buy, too. A buddy just sold a nice late 80's 3/4 ton 'burb with a tight 454, for $1,200, IIRC.

I agree with 66Submarine - I am just finishing up installing disc brakes, power steering, 454, basically the complete front suspension off a 75 C20 onto my 65 C20. I was able to use a ton of parts off the parts truck.

Here in Las Vegas, there is a 84 C20 on craigslist right now that is complete except the motor is missing for just under $500. Definately a great way to save money updating your truck.

Thanks guys for the info. Are most of the parts just plug and play or is there alot of modifications needed?
