I have done a lot of searching, and havn't had much luck.
I have a 68 c/10 shortbed fleetside that i am restoring, Does anyone know what one of these trucks weight with a small block and a turbo 400?

The weight on these trucks tends to vary quite a bit. GM said the curb weight on my LWB was 3800....but the scale i took it to put it at 3980 lbs. I would guestimate your SWB to be in the 3800 lb area, possibly less

My truck used to weight 3700 before I installed my LS1. That was with roll pans and an auto trans. My LS1 is 200 lbs lighter so it should weigh in a 3500 now.

Some are a little heavier than others..my 69 GMC (1/2 ton short/fleet) tips the scales at almost 4000 pounds. No clue why...but it does.

that heavy chrome front grill

steel is heavier than aluminum
it could be a lot of things. if you have different engine parts on, different wheels, bigger tires, spare tires. tool boxes lots of things. air conditiniong. just different things could play

Thing is, I have headers, alluminum intake, no smog crap, no A/C (never did) alluminum rims no tool box, minimal junk in the cab (25 pounds at best...)
Nothing explains why this thing is such a tank ass.

The stock manual trans weighs a ton. So does the stock xmember that held it in place. Bumpers are heavy too.
