how to ship a cab (anyone?)

Well,

I didn't want to ship the 1970 cab I have for sale, but I have two people asking about doing such a thing. How might one accomplish this task? Set it on a pallet, then get it on a truck with a lift?

Any ideas and/or details welcome!

Jeff

I have shipped several cabs. I always build a shipping stand that I can bolt the cab to. This way the truck driver can strap the stand down to his bed instead of the cab. He will still want to run a strap across the floor, however that would only be for safety reasons, and the strap wouldn't have to be that tight. If the driver straps a cab down too tight, you run the risk of him distorting the cab! The other way to ship one is to build a crate for the cab, then the crate takes the pressure and not the cab.
