Temperature Sensor 305 to 350

I did a 305 to Crate 350 in a 84 K5. I had to swap Temp sensors from a 3/8 to 1/2, now the gauge reads hotter than before. Any idea on how to fix this?

Did you use a brass adaptor fitting? Did you use any type of sealant?
Buy an aftermarket 1/2" model temp switch. I can't remember in which year GM went to two prong switches.

Re: Temperature Sensor 305 to 350

Thanks, figured I would have to adapt it. I need to get another original temp sensor, misplaced it.
