Lower ball joint problem!

Ok so got my arms all painted up, new moog ball joints and bushings all pressed in and ready to rock....So I get the lower arm mounted and spring in and am ready to throw the spindle on and I set it on the Lower ball joint and the ball joint falls out of the arm it goes back in with a few light taps of the hammer but is a little loose in the hole...what do I do now??? How do I fix this???

Yep. I've also seen folks tack weld the ball joint. Check your control arm for cracks around the ball joint hole after you install the "problem solver" joint. I've seen the arm develop cracks if care isn't used installing an over sized joint.

Put a couple of tack welds on the bottom where the ball joint and arm meet. The lower ball joint is under tension so it's not prone to falling out. Many trucks have had to be tack welded in the past.

Last night I took a punch and went around the edge of the hole under the arm and shrunk it a little bit and then took a brass drift and pounded the ball joint back in with a sledge hammer it seems to be tighter now so just as a precaution I soaked the splines of the joint in red loctite and then put the jack stand under the ball joint with the trucks weight on it to hold it in place with the spindle and everything mounted...We will see if that holds and as a last resort if I have to I will tack weld the bottom of the ball joint hate to do that but then if I must, I must haha!

Must be a common problem because i have seen quite a few of these trucks at the wrecking yard that had at least one of the lower ball joints tack welded to the arm.
