No vent windows??? How??

Notice some trucks have done away with their vent windows. What windows are they putting in instead? Does the new window mount to the old window mechanism?? Sorry for noob question... Kinda like the look.

Re: No vent windows??? How??

Brothers and other vendors sell a complete conversion kit. You will get mixed reviews and feedback. Personally, I would keep the vent windows and install new quality weatherstripping on the entire door. The one piece setup looks great, but I have seen people that are disappointed with the window sweeps not making contact with the glass. That equals water getting inside the door, rattling, and wind noise in my opinion. There are a lot of trucks out there that have them...and they look fantastic. Hopefully someone can recommend a kit that is solid all the way around.

Re: No vent windows??? How??

I have the brothers kit. It was a pain to install, and they rattle around and don't seal up very well.

For me its OK, since I don't daily drive my truck, but even with that I would not do it again. For a daily driver it would be unacceptable for me.

I agree. It does what it says, it allows you to vent air either in or out of the cab, depending on the angle of the window. I use mine a lot.

That sucks to hear that the brothers kit doesn't seal up. I was planning on putting their kit in my doors. Is there a quality kit other than brothers that is available.

Love the vents too. Bring back all those child hood memories back just like the cab fuel tank. Just my opinion

Re: No vent windows??? How??

When I bought my project it had 1 pc windows and I considered that a plus-----didnt take long to decide the vents are better. Had to get a replacement pair of doors--and had to look hard to find good ones!!
