Dumb questions

I'm still looking to put rims on my truck but I am still not sure of a few things.

First, is the bolt pattern 5 - 4.75?

Second, For a 20 inch rim, what would be the best backspacing?

I want to run 20 X 8.5 all around with a 40 series tire and, my truck has air ride in the rear. Will there be any rubbing issues with this setup?

Thanks for all your help

Re: Dumb questions

Our trucks have 5 on 5" and rubbing with a 20 x 8.5 depends on the backspacing of the rear wheels.

Re: Dumb questions

We have 20" wheels on our new-to-us car, and we've had to replace two perfectly good tires because the sidewalls developed problems. The first was kind of my fault - I kissed a curb - but I've rubbed harder against curbs with other tires and never had a problem. The other just developed a bubble; the tire shop speculated we'd hit a pothole too hard.

The short sidewalls have no give, and are way more delicate than on a taller tire. I don't know if truck tires are sturdier than car; but I'd ask about this issue before going ahead.

Re: Dumb questions

I don't drive my truck that often, and the roads in my area are pretty good. I haven't seen too many pictures of what a 50 series looks like on 20's our trucks. It is definitely worth considering getting a larger sidewall.
