This was interesting. I just chose the 47-59 search at the top of this page.
Several more threads were shown. Let us know if you found some ideas.

Re: mustang II sway bar

I think I would look at a late 80's Dodge Dakota sway bar, cheap and large 1" bar.
You can fab up mounts to fit the lower A arm and buy new urethane bushings for the frame and new end links for the bar and I think it will be less than the cost of a "kit"

Re: mustang II sway bar

I like that tci rear mount, Doesn't seem that there are any salvage yard pieces that work?

Skip on the last ones I posted were on a Mll in a '50 fastback and the front mount didn't come with mounts to bolt the sway bar too so I had to fab up something and weld it to the cross member so I could bolt the sway bar on... if you have a Mll front end and it doesn't have the tabs for bolting the sway bar on and you want to put one on i'll post pictures of how I did it for you.

Re: mustang II sway bar

If you bought a Mustang II kit, why not call the manufacturer?

Re: mustang II sway bar

Thanks, parkwood, the fab I can handle, it was just locating a sway bar that would fit, that was tough.

Bob, I didn't buy a kit, and while it is easy to just call, tci, Farman, heists, Scott's, etc, I've never been accused of doing it the easy way, I like to build cars, not just bolt them together..hmmmmm. I sounded like an a s s just then , huh? Lol, I mean I enjoy the hunt, and get gratification from that. Plus, Springfield swap meet is tomorrow, and I need something to look for !

Re: mustang II sway bar

i have a rear sway bar that i made to fit my frame
it came on my 2nd gen trans am rearend but centered my frame rails on both sides
i figured i had nothing to loose by trying to modify it
i heated the ends and bent them out, it's worked fine for 20,000 miles

so find one close and modify it

Re: mustang II sway bar

By putting in a search on Ebay for MII sway bar I found a few interesting offerings. I've seen a few trucks with the stock MII sway bar and they always hang down far enough that it looks like they would get hung up on something when you are going down the road.

I was looking at this one but I don't know who makes it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/mustang-II-f...fb8430&vxp=mtr
