Carb ID, need help!

Hi guys,
I pulled off the carb to get #'s for a kit, but I can't find #'s! I know it's a Rochester--says so in the carb, there's a "CM" on the body, but I can't find the #'s.

1960 GMC Factory maintenance manual has a carb specifications including GM part number and model number. Includes holley, zenith and stromberg. I had more luck looking under vehicle parts than by carb model number. Autozone had rebuild kit for my 66 GMC Stromberg.
I usually start looking at rock auto and ebay.

If you know what truck it's from you could look for a manual on ebay.

I know what truck it's currently on, but that doesn't mean it was original.
I can't find any numbers on it, that seems to be the problem, but I am getting it narrowed down.

Look on the base of the throttle body for a #. Should also be some cast on the upper body as well. Its a rochester model B. But there are two kits depending on the age.

I just went through the same thing. I don't promise this is correct, but here's what I learned and can help determine which kit you need ...

- The built in fuel filter means it's not a super old Rochester B
- Visit http://quadrajetparts.com, they have lots of photos of individual gaskets and parts, then...
- Take it apart and see which of the 2 power piston styles it has
- While apart, compare the air horn gasket to the ones on the web site, the '40s and early '50s style is much different from the '60s

I guess I shoulda added that this is the carb of the ugly truck in my avatar, 64 C10 w/230 L6.

I meant there's 2 styles of pump assembly, not the power plunger. My '64 runs a lot better after the rebuild. The kit came with so many styles of gaskets and misc. parts, I had a pile of unused items when it was done. If you like puzzles, you'll find the rebuild fun.

I've got 2 kits ordered. Hopefully one of them will be correct. I know of 2 already that aren't.

So, out of the 4 kits I ordered, one is correct. Yes!
Now I gotta wait til Monday to do it, Noooooo!

Well, I got done with yard work a little early and was able to tackle the carb. Man, I haven't rebuilt one in a while, I REALLY had to pay attention! It went back together and on the truck without too much trouble. Cranked it over for a few seconds to get fuel in the bowl and she fired right up. It was getting close to dark, but I still had enough time for a few minute cruise. Thanks for all your help!

So what Carb kit did you end up with? I am facing the same dilemma and yours looks exactly like mine (from a '66 250), I think the correct kit for mine is a Walker 15323C but I am curious what you used (hoping they are the same).
