I always laugh when they talk about "Grandpa" in the ad. I'm sure that belonged to somebody's grandpa! lol

i don't understand [this is not meant to rag on anyone]but if my grandfather had left me his truck it would never go any where. what happened to sentimental values?thats an awsome truck wouldn't mind owning it myself.

I don't believe that it was his grandfathers, but if it was I wouldn't be surprised either. A lot of people just don't value "old" things like that and would rather spend that money on something new and shiny that will be obsolete in a year.

Re: 1969 C10 on Craigslist...not mine

It's a nice truck.
"grandpa" is getting as played out as "nos".
I went to look at a truck. The guy said it belonged to his grandpa. So I said, "looks like your gramps beat the sht outta his stuff" then the admitted he inherited it in better condition. So...after a ten minute chat it became evident that it was indeed "a grandpas truck" and maybe not his grandpa and since he had it the truck was neglected...obviously.

Simple fact is we live in an age where some people will look you in the eye, and lie without flinching if they think it will get them ahead even just a little.

However I'm not saying this CL add is not what it says it is. I'm just harping on the grandpas buzz word used to illicit nostalgic feelings of a time when things were "better" to justify higher prices or maybe it was better taken care of.
