Headlight BUckets and Cover plate

Ok, I moved onto the last parts of the headlight assembly.

Another issue, the 'cap' that cover the headlight buckets will not lay flush enough to let me screw them in. I removed everything and am not doubting my self IF I in stalled the heal light backing in on the correct sides? If there a left and right? I seem to think there is.

I will assume that right side is the passenger side?

i just repainted mine and the buckets had an L and an R so i thought R was passenger but i was wrong in my case its a 65 grille dont know if yours are the same.
