Re: any short boxes have roof lights?

RPO for roof marker lites was U01

Appears to have been available on all trucks including short beds

Only exclusions were YF5 California emissions???? without dual wheels

And Z77 Sport

They were standard on R05 dual wheel trucks

They require a different roof panel to be installed correctly

And even then you can have leak and rust issues

Re: any short boxes have roof lights?

My '87 had them. The bulbs would get hot and melt the plastic. Then they'd leak.

At the time California did not allow any "yellow" light to be visible from the rear, so the UO1 roof lights were not legal in California.

Tying the release to California emissions was a convenient way to make sure none got built for California use (even though it had nothing to do with Powertrain).
