4x4 dog dish hubcap tips?

Does anybody have any handy tricks to convert dog dish hubcaps to 4x4? I have some extra non 4x4 and need some more 4x4. Anybody have any luck with removing the centers? I want a nice , smooth perfect circle. Any tips?
