Blown fuses

Can anyone give me any tips or tricks for running down a short? I have a 77 c10 and recently it blew the 20 amp fuse for the tail lights, front running lights and dash lights. I put a new one in and as soon as I turned on the running lights it blew as well. My brake lights still work.

I have traced the wiring from the tailights forward and looked at eveything I could behind the dash. I taped up a few wires that I suspected could have been the problem but that did not fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have 1 week till I am supposed to leave for the Power Tour!
