OK, way to much going on here for a simple problem.

Order a new dip stick tube and insert it in the block. It is a press fit and will require some work to get in the hole in the block. I have used a 7/16 boxed end wrench to slide over the tube to give me something to pound against. If the tube does not fit very snug, it will most likely leak.

I could not even imagine the hole in the block is wore enough to cause this.

GASoline71, are you referring to me? If so I didn't realize there is an expiration date to an issue people have had or might still have. Besides threads were supposed to be "closed" otherwise they are open for comment. If you were talking about me I understand the replacement tube solution, my question is how do remove an insert that is stuck in the tube bore in the block from a cheap dipstick tube?
