Previously patched?
I noticed the passenger side rocker has these black marks I'm That I'm assuming is adhesive. Does this look like its been patched or did they come from the factory this way

Looks like seam sealer to me. I'm not sure the factory put any there so maybe it was put on in later years... LockDoc

That was my thought weird thing is the back of the cab inside the door where the outer skin folds over has the same stuff figured if it was factory it would be painted over

Somebody who really cared for their stuff owned that truck and sealed those seams up a long time ago.

There are a lot areas of factory sealer normally under paint. Take a look at the assembly manual to get an idea how extensive it is on a bare new build cab.
