Rear Seat Question
While my SPID list "rear seat" as an option I think it means it was equipped with a front and center seat.
I picked up a clean rear seat out of a Blazer and I'm curious how the rear seat was orginally mounted in the Suburban. Anyone have pics of the hold down arrangment and the height of the seat bracketry for the third seat? TIA

Re: Rear Seat Question
I'm not sure, Bgrdmoose, I see the front brackets are the same 7-8" rise and the back brackets are flat to accept the step up (just like the middle seat in my Suburban). My question is what does the Suburban third seat setup look like? This does not work between the wheel wells in my Suburban.
I can fab something up but I was curious how the factory did it. edit: I tried a search but the function just gives me errors on this site.

Re: Rear Seat Question
If I remember correctly, they look some-what like the front seat brackets, just not very tall. Mine practically sat on the floor. I would snap a picture, but mine is in a 1000 pieces at the moment.

Re: Rear Seat Question
To the OP, I think you are right in your interpretation of the seat configuration. I have recently come across a 67 Sub with the same id on the SPID and no evidence of a "third" seat.

Re: Rear Seat Question
On mine the center seat is only about 48 inches wide to access the rear seat which is also 48 inches wide to fit between the wheel wells. Is your center seat full length like the blazer seat? That's weird if it says there is a rear seat.

Re: Rear Seat Question
No, my "rear seat" is full width. AFAIK, it never had a third seat:
With three kids, I have a need for another row of seating that's why I picked up the Blazer seat. (my 7 year old will just have to crawl over the seat back ![]() Thanks for the images. Funny, I seen the 4 across rear seat mounts before but my seats only have two. For the center seat the seat belts are bolted to the floor in the center positions and to the brackets in the outer positions. The Blazer seat I purchased looks like it has never had anything but the outer brackets.

Re: Rear Seat Question
My SPID says the same thing with no signs of a third row seat ever having been in place. Original owners oldest son says it never had more than the front & center row seat too.
