Why is there a third mount point for a windshield wiper?
So I was looking at the '67 C30 I'm parting tonight and I noticed there is a mount point for another windshield wiper post on the passenger's side, which would correspond to having opposed wipers like some of the early 60's cars do.
Does anyone know why this is? I thought it must have been for the right hand drive trucks, but I just looked at some pictures here and they don't use it, either. I checked my other two trucks and they both have it. Also, has anyone ever used it?? I love that look, I might just do it to my black truck

I'm pretty sure it is for the right hand drive conversion trucks. LockDoc

Are there pictures of this anywhere?? The only ones I can find are of Australian RHD trucks and they have the wipers same as ours do.

The truck you have pictured has them the same way the C10's - C30's have them. Take a look at the truck in your avatar.

Re: Why is there a third mount point for a windshield wiper?
Looks like the 60-66s have their wipers opposed, maybe it's as simple as using the wiper linkage from one of them. Then you just need to patch the cowl so the hole is in the right place. I've thought of extending a cowl induction hood into the cowl, the passenger side wiper is a problem in that plan. changing the wiper motion to opposed would solve that problem, and could either be done all the way to the windshield with wipers on top or just short so the wipers can park behind the extension. Hmmm
