Anyone use Corbeau seat bracket F536T to pick up some leg room?
Being 6'6, Im trying to pick up an additional few inches of rearward travel on the front bench. Corbeau makes a bracket for the factory bench, but it doesnt state whether or not you pick up any additional rearward travel.
The other option is to modify the factory bracket by mounting the seat farther back on the factory bracket with some sort of adapter plate. |

A spare set of stock under floor reinforcements could be used if you move it back far enough to clear the existing ones. I just used 1/8"x2" steel flat bar on my 69 K20 to fit the 94 vintage new body style truck seat to the unreinforced area of the floor.

Ill have to look at it this weekend, Im only trying to get another 2-3 inches out of it so Im not sure how exactly that will line up with the factory reinforcements on the bottom

The factory seats in all the trucks I've had slide all the way back tight against the back of the cab. How can changing the brackets make it go farther back than that?

Re: Anyone use Corbeau seat bracket F536T to pick up some leg room?
theres lots of room in the suburban between the front and back seat, so theres plenty of room to slide the front seat another 2-3 inches back. Ideally Id like to find an aftermarket bracket that will allow the additional travel without having to modify the factory bracket or drilling additional holes in the floor

OOPs!! I forgot I was on this message board when I read your post. I was talking about pickups, and people keep thinking of ideas to move those seats back, and it just ain't happ'nin. Sorry for the dumb post. Yeah, plenty of room in a Suburban and a bit more in a Panel.
Maybe you could make/have made something from steel plate that bolts to the top of the bracket with holes offset to the rear to mount the seat to it?

haha, no worries, I kinda figured as much, Ive done the same thing. Yea assuming there is no aftermarket bracket that will yield additional travel, Ill probably fab some sort of plate that will bolt to the factory bracket and shift the holes a few inches aft.
