Pertronix ?

I want to install a pertronix ignition kit I plan using my OE coil for now and my question is about the engine wiring harness, does it have a resistant wire to the coil? From what I read I need 12v for the pertronix upgrade?! Thanks

Re: Pertronix ?

I've used probably 20+ of these units with great success. These work fine with a stock coil, or a replacement pertronix/MSD/Accel unit. I do NOT use a ballast resister with these, as long as the coil primary resistance is atleast 1.5 ohms
