suburban price

I dont know much about these things, i'm more of a modern 4x4 builder but I came across a 72 for sale local to me, havnt had a chance to look at it in person but the online price seems pretty high. Whats these things going for? I can see its got rust but who knows how bad. What should I check on it? Thanks

Re: suburban price

From what I can tell, the current price on that auction is par for the course on a 4x4 GMC burb in that condition.

The typical troubles with burbs, are the same with the pick ups.
Rust in the rockers...

This burb appears to be complete and turn key, to me that is what drives the value the most.

Re: suburban price

I guess "price" would be market dependent. But I recently purchased a K20 Suburban in similar condition for about half that price.

I know a lot can happen in 40 years but I don't think that Sub has 60,000 miles.
Some of the more obvious, interior hodge- podge stuff:

Mismatched door panel. Third door looks to be missing.
Seat covers and headliner's been replaced
Don't know what the purpose for the wires hanging from the rear A/C
Newer steering wheel, ect

I'd check for rust in the rear.
Tail gate and hatch and d-pillar
