Can anyone give me the pros and cons of buying a poly tank instead of a metal one? I am wanting to move my fuel tank to the rear between the frame rails. Poly is half as much as steel so I am curious as to why. Is it inferior in some way?

I don 't have any experience with this, but I heard that they will start to sag.

With that being said, my plan is to get a poly tank, and add extra supports for it so it can't sag. Then I won't have to worry about it rusting, which is a big problem where I am.

from what I have seen is, since the poly tanks dont have any locator pins or provisions to keep themselves centered in the frame rails they like to move around inside the straps

Mine is all out of shape because of the heat. I've got a No Limit tank I'm putting in.

I quit selling the poly ones about a year ago because we saw a potential problem, and the steel ones with the tank sending unit and straps/harware turned out being the same price as the poly ones so it turned out pretty good in the long run.

I just looked at your site. I am guessing $250 for a complete set up. Is that about right? I am guessing I would need tank, straps and sending unit...anything else? Is that 21gal. tank what people are using in their trucks? Does it hang down too low?

Any other info appreciated. Thanks!

They are 255.0 and includes everything to do it (short of however you decide to fill it) and they hang down about 3-4 inches below the license plate (just guessing, I don't have a truck here that has one in it right now). If you have any questions give me a call 1877 641-1387.

I added them into the Board Specials on our website, if anyone is interested in a tank setup I will have them on sale till the 15th of next month.

I've never really looked into doing the swap because I thought it was a lot more expensive than it is. I'll have to keep this in mind.
