TPI Surging

I'm running a TPI setup on my truck, noticed that at stop signs or lights the engine surges. It gets so bad at times I have to struggle to keep the brakes depressed to keep it from launching into on coming traffic. Any ideas what's going on?

Re: TPI Surging

Check for vacuum leaks, spray carb cleaner around manifold and see if idle picks up, stalls, or smooths out. in some rare cases you might only find a leak with a smoke machine. Good luck.

Re: TPI Surging

Throttle plate gummed up (not completely closing) ? try cleaning plate and body and arm plate mounts in body.
