I switched to mobil 1 syn grease but switched back to bel-ray.
The mob 1 surprisingly separated after a few years and the bel-ray didn't. No idea why. |

After some wrasslin' and cussin' got the old calipers and rotors pulled:
and the spindles wiped down and ready for new grease: Now to go see if these rotors can be turned! Thanks for all the tips and help, y'all.

So it's got me wondering, do my little metal hub caps that press into the rotor just not seal completely or is Mobil 1 just a little too thin despite all its good qualities?? Mobil 1 is definitely the thinnest, smoothest grease I've used (not that I've used a lot). The book says not to use "long fibre" grease on front roller bearing wheels, and specifies GM 1051344 which has long been superceeded I'm sure, but is that in any way related to I'm describing??
